Job Purpose:

This is newly created role within the Finance Team who are responsible for the life cycle management of the finance function across three Group companies.

This person will work closely with the Group Senior Financial Accountant in facilitating preparation of accurate and timely management accounts and all other finance duties.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of daily bank reconciliations
  • Assist with month end reporting and management of the month end close process and timelines
  • Assist with reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers including motor fleet
  • Monthly posting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
  • Review of monthly expenses including variance analysis and commentary for management
  • Assist with monthly management reporting for inclusion in group monthly board pack
  • Assist with group statutory audit process
  • Continuous review and monitoring of existing processes and proactively suggest areas for improvement

Skills & Experience

  • ATI qualified with an interest in pursuing an accountancy qualification or part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years accounts experience
  • Experience of reporting and analysis
  • Proficiency in integrated accounts packages and Microsoft applications (particularly a high competency in Excel)
  • Excellent numeric, analytical skills and attentiveness to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and external contacts
  • Ability to work diligently, accurately and under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task, skill in establishing priorities and managing workloads
  • Capable of working on your own initiative whilst keeping stakeholders informed through clear communications.
