Your field of responsibility

Join us as a Consolidation Accountant in Group Finance. Your primary responsibility, as a SME for special projects, include working with other consolidation topic SMEs on Core Financial Systems project that is aimed to build strategic financial / regulatory reporting applications and processes. Additionally your responsibility will include working on preparation and critical review of various financial statement disclosures and reports. These include, for example, consolidated disclosures required for US GAAP, Swiss GAAP and regulatory reports filed with Swiss National Bank (SNB) / Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). This role will also provide you various opportunities for networking with senior stakeholders across various functions of the organization.

You join our Group Finance Reporting team in Zurich office. The team additionally operates from Pune office. The combined team consists of more than 35 members. Your skills and experience 

We are looking for: 

  • Qualified accountant with a diploma/degree in accounting (equivalent to US CPA or Chartered Ac-countancy of UK) or an equivalent educational background.
  • At least 3 to 4 years of experience within banking in the fields of finance or an analytical area or in equivalent professions within the financial industry and/or an advisory firm. Project working experi-ence would be a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of international accounting GAAP (US GAAP/IFRS), along with disclosures reporting and group consolidation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to foster consensus or challenging com-plex initiatives.
  • You describe yourself as a dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and can-do attitude.
  • You possess a proven analytical and conceptual skillset. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS office tools (Power Point, Excel); knowledge of HFM or similar consolidation application would be strong advantage. 
  • Experience with programing languages (e.g. R, Python) for advanced data analytics, in addition to knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools or Programming Languages (e.g. Tableau) would be con-sidered as strong advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken); German language skills would be advantageous.
