Join us as in this new role as a Commercial Finance Analyst and you'll become part of the Magnet Family.
What you'll be doing
Supporting our Magnet Commercial Finance team you'll provide a hands on financial support and point of contact for the regional and commercial teams providing them with reports (including weekly and monthly KPI reports), insight and analysis to help with the ongoing strategic review of our network of stores (around 200).
Working closely with our GL team your focus will be on our stores and stores P&L; with budget responsibility for property costs including rent costs, gas, electricity, store closures and analysis fixed assets registers. You'll also provide support with investment requests, business cases, interpreting results/KPI's and scenario analysis along with ad hoc support (including Project Work) for our Finance Director and Commercial Finance Manager).
How you qualify for the role
Ideally, you'll be educated to a degree level or equivalent and either started or looking to start a CIMA/ACCA qualification. You'll be enthusiastic, proactive, resilient, positive with a dynamic approach to get things done. You'll have the ability to produce and build reports using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. It would help if you have prior experience of supporting central functions in a fast-paced commercial retail environment however we would consider applications from candidates who are wanting to start or expand their journey in finance analytical role.
