Interim Group Accountant

NXTGEN have an immediate requirement for an Interim Group Accountant to cover an initial 4 month period, with the role falling inside of IR35. The successful candidate will join the team during an exciting period of both change and growth, playing a key role in the delivery of all IFRS16 reporting requirements. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will act as a technical accounting expert, working closely with other department leads as and when required. As Interim Group Accountant, you will also support with the delivery of all consolidated account as well as half year and annual reports for group.

Key responsibilities will include:

Delivery of all subsidiary financial statements at month end before consolidating into group Full responsibility for all IFRS16 reporting, ensuring all technical submissions are compliant Business partner with other Head of departments to ensure all financial reports are compliant with IFRS16 Identify opportunities to improve reporting process to ensure quality financial information is reported across the group Ad hoc project support as the business goes through this period of growth and transitionThe successful candidate will ideally be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) and will be confident with IFRS accounting, specifically IFRS16. Prior training in practice would be highly desirable with a proven background working within technical reporting or group accounting roles essential. Any experience gained in larger or globally operating business would also be significantly advantageous. You will also be a confident user of Excel and will be happy dealing with key stakeholders including senior executives. This assignment is available for an immediate start. Candidates will also need to be willing to commit to the full duration of the contract, with the potential for extension given the volume of work facing the group reporting team
