Description:
The Senior Finance Manager will provide financial insights and business partnership to Amazon's Human Resources (HR) team. This high visibility finance role will provide reliable data and analysis to help with decision making and planning, as well as become a world class business advisor to the leaders of HR. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity. S/he possesses a keen attention to detail, has a passion for analytics and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The role entails interaction with HR leadership and requires a balance of strong verbal communication and partnership skills, delivering results, and inventing new processes.

This role can be based in Seattle or Arlington, Virginia.

Responsibilities include:
• Working collaboratively with HR partners to identify and understand challenges and propose creative solutions
• Championing technology and automation, including the implementation of new operational tools
• Partnering directly with the business operations managers of the HR team and other central HR groups to standardize reporting, metrics, goals, and business reviews
• Diving deep into the financial data and becoming a subject matter expert to provide additional insights
• Building and fostering effective relationships and networks with the team
• Clearly articulating business results and recommendations and presenting to senior management
• Managing and developing a team of Finance Managers, Senior Analysts and AnalystsBasic Qualifications:
• 12+ years of finance experience or a related analytical field.
• BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)
• 10+ years of finance experience, or Master's degree and 8+ years of finance experience
• 5+ years of direct management experiencePreferred Qualifications:
• MBA or MS in Finance, Economics or a related field
• Experience working with large-scale data and reporting tools (i.e. Data Warehouse, SQL, Tableau, Cognos)
• Experience serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership team through short-term and long-term financial planning processes, confronting and overcoming challenging situations, enabling growth, and driving processes and roadmaps
• Entrepreneurial mindset and embraces change
• Comfortable in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment
• Superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners to deliver results
• Demonstrated ability to influence others through effective verbal and written communication
