The Project Controller reports to the CFO and is acting as the business partner for the Project Managers, being responsible for the financial monitoring of several projects.

Client Details

Our client is a Belgian company part of an international group and active in the construction sector.

In order to support their growth, we are currently looking for a Business Project Controller.

Their headquarters are located in the Walloon Brabant, and the projects are located all over Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Description

As a Project Controller, you are reporting to the CFO and are responsible for the controlling & financial monitoring of several projects.

Your main tasks consist in :

  • Working on several construction projects based in the BeNeFraLux region;
  • Structuring the project from a financial point of view;
  • Doing the daily financial monitoring of the project during its life-time :
    • Budget & forecast management
    • Follow-up of the project & recommendations
    • Monthly closing
    • Variances analyzes
    • Provisions
  • Acting as a Business Partner for the Project Managers;
  • Playing a leading role in the closing process (margin calculation, over/under absorption of costs, inventory);
  • Being in charge of the reporting to the management.

Profile

The ideal project controller will meet the following criteria :

  • Master's degree in Finance / Business / Economics;
  • At least 2 years of Financial experience (Audit or Controlling). Big 4 experience is considered as a plus;
  • Good level of French and Dutch;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Motivation & flexibility;
  • Partnering mentality with the ability to challenge and being challenged.
