This role will be the right hand person for the Group CFO and work closely with the top management team to continuously monitor and expand the business.
Client Details
Our client is a multinational conglomerate with presence across the globe and ever expanding. At this juncture, their business has created a new position for strong talents to join them as a Finance Controller to drive the expansion plan for their emerging markets and new functions. This role provides high visibility to senior management team, promotes continuous improvement and further expansion of potential scopes and businesses for the company.
Description
1. Work closely with the CFO in developing business plans for the Group.
2. Coordinate and work closely with external parties, operating entities and internal business units for timely completion of statutory reporting, management reporting, budgets and forecasts, tax compliances, legal requirements and others.
3. Enhance and improve financial systems, processes, tools and internal control policies and procedures.
4. Monitor performance, identify issues and provide advisory support and guidance to entities within the Group.
5. Work closely with internal business units on liquidity planning, cash management and funding requirements.
6. Monitor performance of investment portfolio.
7. Provide support on various initiatives and projects including organizational restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, investments, divestments and others.
8. Such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Profile
* At least 10 years of corporate work experience preferably at the Group level handling consolidation accounting, preparation of Board papers, reviewing contracts, agreements and financial statements / documents etc. Candidates from the Big 4 with international exposure and some experience in company secretarial responsibilities i.e. arranging Board meetings, handling resolutions etc. would have an advantage.
* Familiar with tax laws, BNM and Anti Money Laundering regulations.
* Discrete and able to handle business and personal information with the highest level of
confidentiality.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
* Good interpersonal skills with good written and spoken English.
* Demonstrate proactive approach to problem solving with strong decision-making ability.
* Adaptable to various competing demands and demonstrates highest level of emotional maturity.
