Our client, a well known & growing business based in Woking is looking for a Accounts Assistant to join their Accountancy team


Accounts Assistant - Woking

  • Run a detailed aged creditors report and format accordingly
  • Enter invoices/Credits (Purchase Ledger)
  • Authorise Invoices/Credits (Purchase Ledger)
  • HMRC VAT invoices - Input & Authorise (Purchase Ledger)
  • Update the Credit Request spreadsheet, as and when requests are made by Purchasing
  • Add Credit Notes into the Credit Request spreadsheet
  • Match the requests made to the Credits received.
  • Reconcile account
  • Create Remittance
  • Enter payment onto bank
  • Post payment and allocate accordingly
  • Request Statements from all vendors
  • Reconcile all accounts against the vendors Statement
  • Create Remittances
  • Enter payments onto bank
  • Post payments and allocate accordingly
  • Send Remittances to vendors confirming payment
  • Create the 'Payment Run' spreadsheet detailing all Mid-Month/Month-End payments
  • Run an Aged Creditors report to find all overdue invoices currently in query
  • Send spreadsheet to Purchasing Team for detailed explanations as to what the queries are.
  • Ensure all invoices for said month are posted and authorised
  • Ensure all payments for said month are posted and allocated
  • Stock Recs
  • Make HMRC VAT payment (month-end)
  • Post payment (N/L)


A successful candidate will be available on short notice & have experience with above

Suggested working hours are 9 - 4

Job Offer

Salary £20,000 FTE
