ABOUT THE ROLE

This role has been designed to provide financial and commercial support as well as insights to the Executive Operations team of Ovato. Based at their Salisbury (South Australia) printing site, partnering closely with the Operations team to ensure financial discipline, cost control, financial insights and analysis into the current, future trends and opportunities within the business. This role reports to the Commercial Manager (VIC based) with direct contact with the businesses General Manager and Operations team and regular contact with other site Commercial Managers, Group Shared Services and Corporate Finance.

The Key Accountabilities:
  • Providing financial support to the business covering review of profitability, cost control and process improvement objectives
  • To be the key point of contact for all financial and commercial enquiries within the organisation
  • Overall management of the job costing process through checking and closure of jobs and analysing job profitability reviews with the Sales and Operations teams
  • Monitor the implementation and financial impact of strategic initiatives across the business
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects to financially model / evaluate opportunities and impact on business
  • Closing off month end within required timeframes as required by the Group Reporting timetable
  • In conjunction with the Commercial Manager, timely preparation and delivery of site financial reporting including commentary on results, review of supporting schedules and analysis of monthly performance including major variances to Budget and Forecast
  • Responsibility of preparing annual Budget and quarterly Forecast updates
  • Liaising with Internal and External auditors and other stakeholders across the business as required


The Key Requirements:
  • A Tertiary Qualification in Accounting, Corporate Finance or Similar discipline
  • Experience in a similar commercial environment and or Finance Business Partner position
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to perform financial and operational analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and part of a larger site team and Group wide team
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
