Job description:

The Assistant Director - Business Analyst in the Requirements Management Office manages a small team that reviews requirements artefacts, ensures quality, enables projects to meet their legislative and process requirements and provides support to projects on requirements.

The key duties of the position include:

  • Communicate Requirements Management principles, standards and guidelines.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand, gather and analyse their requirements and concerns in line with the agency's business objectives.
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis to assist in engaging with stakeholders to effectively understand cross business functions.
  • Participate and perform elicitation requirement techniques such as brainstorming, workshops, prototyping, observation or interviews, and confirm or report on results.
  • Prepare and contribute to clear business and stakeholder requirement documentation including prioritising, organising and verifying the requirements.
  • Review project documentation and agency processes to assist with determining deliverables.
  • Support project staff including coaching and training to build knowledge and capability in the requirements field.
  • Manage a small team and mentor staff including coaching and guidance to build knowledge and capability.


Eligibility

Security Clearance level required: Baseline (or ability to obtain and maintain).

To be eligible for employment with Services Australia, applicants must be an Australian citizen. An applicant's suitability for employment with the agency will be assessed through a pre-employment screening process. This process includes a requirement for the applicant to undergo and satisfy a national police history check, referee checks and an employment history integrity check and where relevant, a Working with Children and Vulnerable People Check.
