Reed Finance are partnering with a global Manufacturing business who are expanding their Leeds operation and now require an additional Cost Accountant. This will be a fast-paced role and will be providing financial decision-making information by collecting, analysing and reporting job cost data. Excellent working environment and a blended home/office work pattern available.
As the Cost Accountant you will be responsible for:
• Determine ongoing cost of operations by analysing appropriate operational data
• Preparation, analysis and presentation of monthly job cost reports.
• Guide projection process by providing trends and forecasts
• Development and analysis of relevant production statistics
• Create and maintain appropriate management reports in order to summarise customer profitability
• Variance analysis, stock management and forecasting
• Interact with other departments, primarily sales, production and finance; building and maintaining effective relations, to aid the decision making process
• Interpret, present and translate data to all levels of management
• Regularly review the manufacturing processes to maintain a good level of production awareness
• Create, maintain and explain any necessary database/spreadsheets, in order to achieve principal accountabilities
• Assisting in annual budget setting
• Inventory management
• Assist in production of corporate accounts
• Assist in production of regular operational forecast
You will be able to demonstrate:
• Previous Cost Accounting experience
• Ideally manufacturing experience
• Skilled in Excel to an advanced level.
• Ability to operate confidently and accurately under challenging deadlines
• Can communicate confidently at all levels
• Adaptability and enthusiasm
