This is a newly created role, reporting to the Group Finance Director of this UK listed Investment Management business with its operations based mostly in the UK. They're leading in their field and continue to grow through innovation and strong partnerships. Big investors in renewable energy and infrastructure.

Purpose of the role:
  • To support the Group Finance Director in financial control and reporting responsibilities for several listed entities
  • The role of Group Financial Accountant plays a key role in providing wide ranging support to the Board and senior management with their financial responsibilities.
  • This includes external and internal reporting, budgeting, taxation and oversight of the finance functions in the three trading divisions. The team is also often involved in a variety of ad hoc analysis and project work
  • Also, play a key role in opening and closing new listed entities, implementing structures and project-manageing everything related to such activities

Key Responsibilities:
  • Month-end and financial control procedures
  • Produce monthly group consolidation for FTSE listed entities
  • Coordinate and prepare annual budgets for plc companies
  • Day-to-day cash flow and funding administration and cash flow/liquidity reporting
  • Support with the delivery and production of a high quality report fit for a board of a listed company
  • Interim and year-end reporting
  • Work as part of team to produce a high quality interim and year-end financial report
  • Project manage all IFRS and UK GAAP policy changes
  • Creat new listed entities and close dormant entities

Skills & Experience

  • A good track record of delivering effective reporting under pressure and to tight business-critical deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; for example, looking at large amounts of data to identify trends.
  • Evidence of working well within teams and proven ability to engage with a variety of people across multiple departments.
  • IT literate with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of clients reporting under IFRS as well as UKGAAP
  • Experience of management and statutory reporting, corporation tax and VAT
  • Qualified Accountant, ACA from financial services
  • Degree educated or equivalent
