Reporting to the Head of Reporting in the UK, the role offers a great opportunity to be involved in the work of this busy central finance function; playing a key role in the budgeting and forecasting cycle for the UK region and monthly reporting to Group Finance, as well as involvement in projects to improve BI and Reporting at this growing company.

Working within the FP&A team, the role involves liaising with internal colleagues across a variety of business functions, both in the UK and globally, to deliver first class reporting and analysis and is ideally suited to someone with a finance background, an eye for detail, strong data handling and advanced Excel skills, and a tenacity to problem solve.

This is an evolving team and the role has the potential to develop and expand over the course of the next few years as we embed a BI culture within the business.

A typical week would include:

Financial Planning & Analysis:
  • Supporting the FP&A Manager in the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process; liaising with key stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of the company's financial planning cycle.
  • Administration and development of the Prevero budgeting/forecasting tool
  • Providing necessary support for the UK region's monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Group; liaising with Group Finance and colleagues across the UK business to ensure alignment of accounting policies and delivery of timely and accurate information.
  • Other responsibilities as requested in line with the development of the FP&A function

BI / Reporting Development:
  • Playing a key role in the team responsible for the strategic development of the company's BI and reporting functionality
  • Working closely with IT colleagues to maintain ERP structural data to support reporting requirements
  • Managing data validation and reconciliation for live BI dashboards to ensure accuracy of reported information
  • Identifying opportunities to improve and develop reports to meet the requirements of this dynamic business, and to improve efficiency, accuracy and relevance of reports

BI User Support:
  • Responding to queries, resolving issues and offering support to the BI user community, building confidence in the tools and consolidating the reputation of the team as a centre of excellence for BI and reporting.
  • Developing and managing effective tools to communicate and engage with BI users across the business
  • Managing user access and security for BI dashboards and our corporate Budget & Forecasting tool in line with the security matrix and GDPR requirements

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • A finance background with a proven track record of delivering valuable, robust and innovative reporting solutions to support a business
  • Microsoft Power BI experience would be beneficial and a keen interest in BI development and the future of BI application in our business is important
  • Strong IT literacies are required, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manage and reconcile high volumes of data effectively; a good understanding of data validation is key.
  • The ability to communicate with all levels of staff and deal professionally with colleagues, customers and business partners on a consistent basis displaying strong customer service skills.
  • Ensure full ownership is taken for all areas of responsibility.

  • Accuracy, attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work well in a team environment and develop relationships and rapport with external customers and internal colleagues.
