This fantastic, highly ambitious, pribate equity backed organisation in Warrington, are looking for a bright, ambitious Group Finance Manager - ideally from an Audit/ Big 4 background.

Reporting to an impressive Finance Director, with a background in Big 4 training himself, your core responsibilities will include;
  • Responsible for supporting the external reporting requirements including monthly, quarterly, and annually reporting to the bond investors including the preparation of the consolidated group financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Co-ordinating the group treasury consolidation function
  • Liaising with external bodies re. filings, tax returns etc
  • Providing technical accounting guidance (IFRS) to the Finance community, owning parts of the Group Accounting Policy and implementation of all new accounting standards
  • Be main point of contact for external auditors to deliver the group consolidated financial statements as well as the UK subsidiaries, ensure the filing deadlines are met.
  • Support the Control and Governance team in ensuring that Group financial control framework is implemented across the businesses.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of the reporting systems and control processes

Requirements:
  • Finalist or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) with a practice background (essential).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS is key.
  • Experience of Group Consolidation work across multiple entities
  • High level Microsoft Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate technical ideas to non-financial staff.
  • The ability to shape and challenge received thinking.
