Job Title: Account Assistant

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: 21,000K-24,000K

The Role

Our client is an award-winning metal finishing company based in Leeds but serving the whole UK. They offer a comprehensive range of metal finishing services including electro-plating, Anodising, Phosphating, Powder Coating and much more. They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to provide support for the finance and admin function.

Finance duties:
· All aspects of Purchase Ledger.
· Credit Control.
· Weekly payroll.
· Nominal postings and journals.
· Daily banking and reconciliation.
· VAT reconciliation and submissions.
· Month end routines.
· Monthly accrual and prepayment reports.
· Year end schedules.
· Nest pensions.

HR duties:

· Maintain employee records.

Monitor the Infotime staff clocking system.

· Monitor employee holidays.

Assist the Managing Director with any ad hoc duties when required.

This is a diverse and fast-paced role which requires an individual who is fully committed.

Experience of working in an industrial environment is preferred.

The Candidate

• Experience of working in an industrial environment is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a finance role.

For the right individual there is an opportunity to grow beyond this range depending on their ability to absorb more responsibilities as the MD seeks to divest the FD aspects of his role.
