Reporting to: SBS Record to Report & Projects Manager

Base location: Hook (2 or 3 times a week), currently working from home

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits

As an integral team member, the Finance Analyst within Serco Business Services (SBS) will support the Finance Record to Report (R2R) team function in this versatile role. By reviewing regular reporting sent via our offshore partners, as well as supporting with system and process improvements, the Finance Analyst will support the team and report to the Head of R2R and closely support the Senior Finance Managers within the team.

Reason for role

A newly created role, the Finance Analyst will be joining a team with a number of projects underway and on the horizon, and so extra support is needed for this busy area - there is plenty to get involved in, and lots of scope to learn and develop!

Key accountabilities
  • Review, collect and collate feedback on, and validate reported SLA's with our offshore partner (monthly)
  • Manage R2R documentation and processes mapping
  • Support R2R team with projects, and ad hoc data analysis and financial insight
  • Identify and drive process improvements by analysing and interpreting data, trends and making comparative analyses
  • Review, monitor, analyse and identify improvements to KPI's and other reported metrics
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement


What you'll need to do the role

The successful applicant will firstly be AAT qualified at least, or studying towards ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent. At least 3 years as a Finance Analyst is also required, with some experience in such a role within a large company setting. Good Excel skills (pivots, VLOOKUP's, report creation, if formulas) and good PowerPoint skills will also be necessary.
