The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to coordinate activities relating to correct accounting and invoicing of revenue positions.

My client is a leading outsourcing brand based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre. They have an excellent reputation on the job market, and a track record of internal promotions.

Description

  • Prepare Gross Margin analysis by country and by project
  • Work with the reporting team to ensure P&L accuracy and prepare variance analysis for "Income Statement Call"
  • Assist the reporting team to ensure accuracy of balance sheet, accrued revenue positions and ensure these are cleaned downed monthly
  • Prepare Client and SBU reporting
  • Assist the team in preparing and feeding Gross Margin information out to clients and SBU leads
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasting data
  • Maintain key data underpinning Gross Margin (headcount and payroll data)
  • Assist in development of reporting and systems initiatives to deliver all key department objectives

  • Preparation of revenue invoice calculations
  • Reconciliation and preparation of revenue control schedules (quoted / expected income versus income to invoice versus invoicing generated)
  • Ensure P/N tracker and invoice values are maintained
  • Responsible for maintaining and filing all PO correspondence ( on SharePoint and relevant folders)
  • Oversee and assist in the generation of sales invoices
  • Provide updates on invoices to client status (date invoices sent and recorded on client systems)
  • Ensure accuracy and timelines in revenue generation (including minimizing accrued revenue balances in balance sheet)
  • Assist in ensuring the full and accurate recording of revenue into Oracle(including ensuring invoices are coded and processed accurately versus expectation as well as preparing revenue reconciliation reports.
  • Assist credit control and Finance Operations team with queries to ensure timely resolution of queries and debt collection.

Profile

The successful Business Analyst will likely have the following profile;

  • Educated to A level standard or equivalent
  • Professional accounting qualification for example AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) would be advantageous

  • Prior working knowledge operating in a finance department
  • Wider Finance Department experience including general administrative work pertinent to a finance function.

Job Offer

My client is willing to offer a salary ranging from circa £22,000 - £24,000 plus a competitive package for the successful Business Analyst. There is also long term prospects of progression available in my client's team.
