GITC Configuration Specialist

We are recruiting a GITC Configuration Specialist to join the Compliance, Technology & Services (CT&S) team as part of our national Compliance Services practice. You will be working with UK and multinational groups to help clients implement and maintain GITC, PwC’s market leading Indirect Tax Compliance software solution for partially exempt clients. The role combines technology consulting with Indirect Tax compliance services, shaping the future of the product and supporting clients through their use of the product to bring them a well rounded business integrated solution.
In this role you will be a key member of a small team that helps to advise and implement processes relating to GITC. This would include helping clients to implement and maintain their GITC product, working with PwC networks to demo, promote and raise awareness of GITC to our colleagues and our clients, identifying product improvements and strategising with the wider CT&S team feeding into a roadmap of product improvements and supporting projects to implement that technology. You will also be involved in the business development and pre-sales activity to expand our technology business.
Develop a detailed understanding of partly exempt Financial Service clients’ overall business, the VAT return process and underlying partial exemption calculations
Assist with partly exempt VAT reporting implementation projects using PwC’s own reporting software, and other applicable software
Assist in the delivery of indirect tax automation to partly exempt clients
Involvement with software requirement/development to continuously improve our existing suite of software offerings or develop new software offerings
Test new functionality against business requirements
Support a portfolio of existing clients in use of the application
Support and develop junior members of staff
Keep internal control records up to date and ensure compliance with quality control procedures
We are looking for proactive individuals who are self-starters, inquisitive, with the ability to apply a methodical approach to normalising disparate data sets in a collaborative manner, working closely with a range of priority clients.
Essential skills and experience
Experience working with partly exempt clients in the Financial Services industry
Experience using data transformation tools such as Alteryx and Power BI
Confident solving analytical and numerical problems
A commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice
Strong interpersonal skills
Project coordination/management skills and the ability to identify and pursue business opportunities
Ability to work to set timelines and adapt to new working practices
