Job Purpose:

This position is within the Citi Private Bank - Operations and Technology Pune Department. Candidate will be part of a high performing and niche Global team that will effectively deliver programs and projects across the Private Bank.

Job Background:

The position is a business analyst within Citi Private Bank Regulatory Technology Group. This role will participate in the in the full project lifecycle of critical regulatory and compliance initiatives, collaborating with project stakeholders to build high quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of all aspects of the project lifecycle, but whose focus will be on business analysis, requirements gathering and defining optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary scope includes:
  • Requirement Elicitation: Develop a clear understanding of Regulatory Project Business and Functional Requirements and explain overall requirements to various Applications Owners and engaged in cross review of functional requirements. Acting as a "translator" between the Business, Operations, Change, Legal, Finance, ICRM, Technology Teams
  • Ensure System designs and solutions are as per Citi policies, and procedures and guideline
  • Documentation: Develop all documents in Waterfall SDLC like Project Charter, Project Plan, BRD, FRD, Project Plan, Test Plan, Test Results, UAT Approvals, and Lessons Learned and Agile like Scope Document, Iteration Feature List, Technology Regression Test Results
  • Develop Program Governance Decks, Program/Project Charter, Program Milestones, RAID log
  • Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
  • Project Management: Understand all knowledge areas of Project Management - Scope, Cost, Time
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Working with stakeholders at all levels as defined by the individual project
  • Requirement Traceability: Ensure traceability from Business Requirements to Production Deployment
  • UAT Support: Assisting with integration and acceptance testing, Providing support during and post implementation

Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience:
  • 10+ years of Total experience as Business Analyst
  • PM/BA Certifications like CBAP, PMI PBA, PMI PMP, PMI ACP, PMI PgMP will be preferred
  • Understanding of Modelling techniques, methods and systems engineering concepts
  • Experience in typical private banking products such as Loans, Deposits, Mortgages, Fund Transfers, Client Reporting, Tax, Capital Markets, trust will be an added value
  • Familiarity with Project Management (Requirement management, Risk Management, Resource Management, Project Integration Management etc.)
  • Exposure to various SDLC methodologies
  • Strong in Business Analyst and Project management tools - MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint


Required Skills:
  • Strong communication skills, ability to explain business requirements in a clear and concise manner to various stakeholders (supplier, partners, management etc.) in various forum
  • Self-motivated and a team player that works well with individuals and thrives in a complex, global organization
  • Ability to build relationships and negotiate solutions while liaising between business, operations, technology
  • Ability to work in challenging, demanding and strict regulatory timelines
  • Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
  • Leadership
