Position Overview
Experienced Finance leader (m./f./d.) with responsibility over financial and regulatory reporting
Main responsibilities include:
- Provide inspiring and motivating leadership to the local Finance team and form close alliances and network with the global Finance organisation.
- Ensure all relevant regulatory and financial reports are provided in a timely accurate and complete manner in accordance with local and group-wide guidelines
- Own successful implementation of new regulatory and financial reporting change projects
- Drive business and strategic change projects and support establishing Finance as a sparring partner and provide reliable and useful decision supporting financial information
- Develop and assume responsibility over reliable, transparent and efficient performance reporting and forecasting/planning processes for the legal entity in close interaction with business finance and other supporting infrastructure functions to provide meaningful transparency to local and global governing bodies
- Establish trust relationship with local regulators
- Lead improvements to control framework and support establishment of a robust and well-functioning control environment
- Form the key interface for Finance towards internal and external key stakeholders such as control committees, internal audit as well as external/statutory auditors.
- Work closely with, understand, and own key Tax and Treasury topics in close collaboration with Head of Tax and Head of Treasury.
- Contribute to general management topics and corporate activities and initiatives
- Support and play an active role in DB Italy's governance bodies such as Management Board/Supervisory board both with active contribution and representation of key Finance topics
- Multiple years of experience working in a similar position in a bank/financial institution or as a senior financial services audit leader with Big 4 or comparable experience.
- Experience in managing diverse teams of specialists and collaboration with offshore teams supporting local teams.
- Deep understanding of control framework over financial and regulatory reporting and SOX
- Expertise in IFRS including understanding of deltas between local GAAP and EU IFRS rules
- Governance background related to financial reporting
- Good understanding of Risk Management processes and interdependencies with Finance topics
- Deep understanding of Treasury processes and interest rate risk management
- Experience in accompanying IT change projects with particular relevance for Finance and regulatory reporting processes
- Good level of knowledge to assess taxation principles particularly taking into consideration Italian tax rules and specifications relevant for banks and financial institutions
- Proven team leadership skills evidenced by past experience in leading diverse teams
- Excellent networker and team player with ability to build sustainable working relationships both locally but also globally across divisional boundaries to establish solid and reliable work model
- Good project management skills
- Excellent English language skills written and spoken to operate within the international DB framework
- Professional degrees MBA or similar level of qualification such as certified auditor or equivalent, CPA or comparable
