  • drafting, managing, and advising on the Global Sanctions Policy and its related procedures and guidance documents;
  • providing day-to-day and long-term strategic sanctions advisory support to State Street Business Units, corporate functions, and internal Financial Crime Compliance teams;
  • analyzing, advising on, & integrating regulatory requirements into the global sanctions program;
  • engaging in industry/peer engagement to bring sanctions program best practices to State Street and meaningfully contributing to industry/peer sanctions discussions;
  • supporting the sanctions Risk Assessment and leading bespoke risk analysis initiatives;
  • facilitating engagements with and information requests from Audit, internal QA/QC teams, and regulatory and enforcement agencies; and
  • serving as a member of the Sanctions Compliance Program Leadership Team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience with focus in business, accounting, finance, criminal justice or equivalent;
  • 5+ years experience with advisory services and/or policy/procedure drafting;
  • 3+ years experience with US, EU, UN, and other sanctions programs or equivalent;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment & make critical decisions within tight deadlines; and
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Internal Requirements (Detailed)

Policy & Advisory:

  • Drafting, managing, and advising on the Global Sanctions Policy and its related procedures and guidance documents;

  • Provide updated trackers/decks/etc., as necessary, to relevant working groups and GHSC.
