The Calder Rivers Trust is experiencing a period of sustained growth, having recruited two members of staff to supplement the work done by our board of dedicated trustees. We are now at the stage where we need a Finance Officer to support our work.
This is a voluntary role and would suit someone with previous financial and bookkeeping experience or, ideally, membership of a chartered accountancy body.
If you have this type of background and an interest in our work, focussed on environmental improvements to the watercourses in the Calder catchment, we would love to hear from you.
You would be working with the Chair, Secretary and other Trustees to ensure the smooth, efficient and legally-sound operation of the charity and limited company.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
- Budget setting and tracking for our operations.
- Managing our day-to-day finances and payments.
- Liaising with the Trust’s accountant
- Developing our future financial strategy and policies.
This is an exciting role with big impacts for our organisation. You will see all levels of our work and make a real difference to the River Calder and its tributaries.
Although the time commitment does vary, we would expect it to be in the order of 2-4 hours per week, including occasional evening meetings, currently on-line.
