KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Help deliver the annual audit plan according to industry best practices and the relevant risk and regulatory environment Communicate the impact of audit findings and associated risks, identify the root causes, and recommend improvements in business processes Engage stakeholders to obtain a deeper understanding of business operations to focus audit work on the highest risks and guide businesses Evaluate the adequacy of their action plans and monitor the implementation Complete assignments efficiently with regard to the risks, scope and nature of each business unit Prioritise work and the delegation of assignments in accordance with the risks being incurred by the businesses Ensure that audit reporting highlights risks and presents them to management. KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Life insurance products and services knowledge and, or knowledge of pension schemes governance and administration Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. Audit experience in international financial, insurance institutions Role relevant qualifications, e.g. ACA, ACCA, MIIA, CIA, CIIA and, or Actuarial qualifications Previous experience in audit or financial reporting & accounting for life insurance experience or actuarial Excel and PowerPoint Bachelors or Masters in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience Proven experience of successful project management, utilising relevant tools and techniques to ensure consistent delivery Experience of supporting others' performance, enabling them to achieve by providing clear direction, motivation and support Able to produce detailed reports using lucid and concise language to explain technical issues
