My client are a SME business and are looking for an experienced Sales Ledger Clerk to join them and take responsibility for the receipts and cash posting. The role is to work initially on a temporary basis for 1-3 months with a view to turning permanent for the right candidate. Salary will be circa £23,000- 24,000, based on 37 hours per week (5pm finish on a Friday!).

As the Sales Ledger Clerk reporting to the Finance Manager your duties will include:
Matching and allocating receipts to the Sales Ledger
Posting all incoming receipts to the Sales Ledger
Managing approximately 1,000 transactions a month in Sterling, Euros and other currencies
Conversion of currencies
Ensure bank charges are accounted for and posted
Bank reconciliations for 5 accounts

As the role develops the successful candidate will be taught to write up the Cash Books and assist with other finance areas of the business. You will need to have good systems experience (their General Ledger system is very user friendly). A friendly and adaptable approach is key, and candidates with multiple currencies experience will be at advantage. They are a warm team with high levels of retention-once people start they don't tend to leave! Situated close to public transport links, restaurants and shops, free parking available onsite.
On occasion employees bring their dogs to the office and as such you need to be comfortable with them in your environment.
