Excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality & Control/Compliance expert to join a leading provider in business process outsourcing.

About the role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality and Controls Consultant with previous audit experience, to join a pivotal part of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating risk to the business and will provide support to each function, by reviewing, improving and ensuring compliance with quality and control measures.

With a proven track record in understanding policies and procedures and any associated breaches, you will have previous experience of working within a similar environment and will be adept at conducting root cause analysis. With exceptional interpersonal skills, you will also be well versed at liaising with key stakeholders at all levels and be able to demonstrate a highly quality focused approach to your work. Previous experience of having implemented process improvement initiatives would also be highly advantageous.

From our Norwich location, Capita provide outsourced services to a leading London Market (Lloyds of London) Global Broker and Risk Adviser. Our services include:

  • Production of contract documentation and premium processing

  • Settlement and management of claims

  • Ledger management, reconciliations and credit control

What you will do:

  • Ensure that Group, divisional and local policies, procedures and governance are understood by the business and adhered to.

  • Promote the sharing of best practice across the functions to support process improvement

  • Promote a change driven culture through identifying and escalating opportunities for business development.

  • Review and challenge existing controls, to ensure they are fit for purpose and demonstrate their effectiveness.

  • Facilitate both internal and external audit reviews to ensure prompt provision of information, review / challenge key matters that arise from such reports and ensure appropriate actions are agreed, then implemented.

  • Promote and support learning and development throughout the operation by conducting trend and root cause analysis, including breaches and complaints.

  • Investigate incidents and undertake root cause analysis to identify, implement and monitor detective and preventative controls.

  • Manage complex and escalated, technical or procedural queries from the operational areas.

Your experience will include:

  • Substantial audit experience, ideally from within the Financial Services sector.

  • Aptitude for the understanding and application of regulatory, policy and procedural requirements.

  • Advanced time management skills.

  • Working knowledge of insurance industry (desirable, although not essential)

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Influencing and negotiation skills

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships within the Operation

  • Ability to promote and adapt to change

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
