Claims Team Leader
High Wycombe
28000 - 32000 per annum
Client is a personal lines insurer that is looking to expand their claims management team. You will be responsible for management oversight of 8-10 Claims Handlers across multiple levels and will work closely on technical process improvement and general claims strategy.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead of team of 8-10 Claims Handlers and drive claims excellence
* Act as a technical referral point within the team and handle all complex cases
* To ensure that your team achieves all quality and customer outcomes
* To embed a coaching and performance management culture within your team
* Oversee claims call monitoring and provide feedback
* To ensure that your team members are all connected with our goals, understanding how the work that they do each day contributes to the bigger picture
* To ensure that the operational goals of your department are met, with an oversight of customer delivery metrics and colleagues adherence to plan
* Working closely with audit teams to ensure effective reporting and MI
Skills / Experience Required:
* Experience leading an insurance claims team, gained at a reputable personal lines insurer
* Significant experience within the claims industry, preferably household and/or pet insurance
* Strong knowledge of technical claims process
* Proven ability to coach, manage and develop staff
* Experience undertaking performance reviews and development plans
* Strong commercial awareness within the insurance industry
* Experience driving customer performance and excellence
* Dip CII / Cert CII highly preferred
