Public Practice Recruitment are looking for a Tax Senior to support and work with the tax team of a successful accountancy firm based in Halifax.

The perfect Tax Senior will be CTA/ATT qualified with 3 years’ experience of working within a busy public practice firm in a tax environment. This role is suited to someone that wants to be able to progress their career with a pro-active accountancy firm.

This successful independent accountancy firm is looking to recruit an ambitious and focused Tax Senior to join their dynamic team. Based in Halifax you will play a significant role within a busy tax team, delivering compliance services and other advice to clients across the wider Yorkshire Region.

The role would appeal to a Qualified Tax Accountant with several years of general practice experience and a mixed skill set incorporating both Personal & Corporate Tax. If you are keen to demonstrate your leadership flair and to provide input into the future strategy of a successful practice this job could be for you.

The Tax Senior job in Halifax will be responsible for:

• Completion of both personal and corporate tax returns
• Reviewing the work/tax computations of a team of Tax Semi Seniors
• Providing taxation planning advice to Sole Traders, OMB’s and Directors to large companies
• Contributing to the appropriate marketing of services to current and potential clients

This role will ideally suit a Tax Senior or Tax Semi Senior looking to progress into a more senior role. The ideal Tax Senior will be confident in dealing with clients at all levels and have a confident manner in communicating with clients both over the phone and face to face. You will also require strong written communication skills to be able to write reports where required.
