This is a temporary position supporting the business as it goes through a project to improve how it generates various financial and KPI reports - so from how it first captures data from multiple different sources through to the final presentation of that information. The current approach is very manual, so there’s a need here for someone with advanced Excel skills (and preferably SQL knowledge too) to help create and implement a better and more efficient solution. You’ll also be analysing the accuracy and quality of the data, identifying the root cause of any data accuracy issues and then working with stakeholders and data owners to resolve these.

The role will initially be interim for a couple of months, but it’s likely to be will be extended after that period. The business is going through a wider transformation project, so there’s certainly potential for this person to get involved in other analytical work supporting that broader change programme.

The successful candidate will be an expert Excel user, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to handle large and complex datasets and very confident with data manipulation techniques. And you’ll have the ability to interpret that data and analyse results. You will also need confident communication skills and be comfortable discussing reporting with senior management. Pay rate is very much 'negotiable depending on experience', so please quote your rate requirement when applying. This position is to start asap.
