Corporate Finance Senior Manager

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly regarded TOP10 Accounting Firm who are looking to recruit a Corporate Finance Senior Manager to join their growing team in Reading. Known for providing Corporate Advisory, MBO/MBI options to a range of SME and multi-national clients, you will be working as a trusted adviser setting the direction of deals and being the contact point for clients, prospective acquirers and third party advisers. Key duties include:

• Working with one of the Directors leading the day to day execution of corporate finance engagements
• Providing details reports for mergers, buyouts, disposals, growth capital and debt financing, exit planning and exit strategies
• Preparing detailed business and sector research, business and financial modelling, business valuations and business planning
• Leading engagements by defining scope in consultation with Directors and ensuring assignments are executed accordingly
• Project managing teams and working closely with the team to lead day-to-day progression of engagements
• Providing support, maintaining communication and updating both junior and senior team members as required
• Identifying transaction risks that require escalation and subsequently escalating these risks to a Director as appropriate
• Working to tight deadlines, thinking clearly under pressure and maintaining team morale during lengthy and challenging CF engagements
• Assisting in the financials of assignments by organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to Directors
• Dealing with a range of stakeholder groups and management teams, gaining client acceptance and demonstrating value through advise and sector insight
• Developing your own business network with a view to increasing your origination capabilities over the medium term

To be considered for the Corporate Finance Senior Manager role you should ideally be a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant (or have equivalent work experience) with experience in a Corporate M&A/Lead Advisory function from a CF boutique, mid-large tier Accountancy Firm, Private Equity house or Investment Banking group. You should have at least 5 years expertise in multiple transactions and deal types, a track record in business development and experience of presenting to clients and advisors at a senior level. You should also be able to assess the saleability of a business, interpret Financial Models, understand valuation techniques and be a strong client manager who can respond promptly to queries and meet their expectations.
