Our client is an established innovative company a not for profit organisation working within the social services arena. This is the second business to be established in the UK after a newly created initiative by the government. You will be working with leading management and Directors who are taking the business forward to further success and continued growth.

The key elements of this exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner is to develop insight and understanding of the financial performance for this business. The role involves building relations with key service leads, understanding of operations and any financial consequences to decision making. Supporting the service with financial modelling to provide credibility to business cases and leading on the financial forecasting and budgeting of the business.

The role:

·You will be supporting the development of the business’s strategy and business plan.

·Lead on setting budget timetables, ensuring timely engagement with services to develop budgets that support the service plans and the business plan of the business

·Work effectively with services to provide high quality financial advice so that service priorities are delivered within available resources.

·Review of monthly reports with stakeholders to better understand business drivers, and incorporate learnings into the forecasting process.

·To provide technical support and advising of any financial consequences of decisions being taken.

·Support evaluation of propositions through financial modelling of option appraisals, providing net present value, payback and return on investment assessments factoring in associated risks. Make recommendations to senior management & directors.

·Develop and present reports to the board and Executive Leadership team on financial performance, providing insight and understanding of risks and opportunities, making recommendations as to what actions are to be taken

·Developing improvements in monthly reporting as needs for improvement identified.

·Work collaboratively with finance senior team ensuring the core financial functions make a valuable contribution to the business and the Partners it serves.

·To take ownership and oversee cashflow projections, to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing liabilities.

Experience:

•Managing budgeting and forecasting processes accurately and to tight timescales

•Production of quality financial models to assess financial viability of options.

•Advanced excel skills with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data into suitable presentation format and draw appropriate conclusions.

•Operate as a self starter across a broad range of complex financial tasks/projects.

•Commercially astute with the ability to provide a quality assessment on future financial viability

•Develop and build strong key relationships both internally and externally particularly with stakeholders and Board members

•Professional outlook delivering high levels of customer service

Essentially you will be a qualified chartered accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with significant financial and leadership experience, and also a knowledge of preferably Agresso. Essential are advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate large volumes of data into suitable presentation format and draw appropriate conclusions is essential also experience of presenting complex financial data to financial and non financial management.
