Office based in Manchester city centre or Bury St Edmunds

At Co-op Insurance, we're investing in our future, and the people who'll shape its direction. We pride ourselves on always doing the right thing for our customers and members. Now we're looking to recruit a Motor Image Engineer to join us, and help make sure our customers get the great service they expect when they've been involved in an accident. Joining a welcoming and supportive team you'll be office based Monday to Friday. We'll continue to support you with your on-going professional development, including ATA VDA and IAEA qualifications.

What you'll do

  • Using the latest estimating technology, assess damage to claimants' vehicles, and contacting customers to advise on next steps
  • Liaise with our network of approved repairers and non-approved repairers
  • Work with the claims team to provide technical outcomes for repairs and total loss claims
  • Keeping your knowledge up to date through ongoing technical training
We'd love to talk to you if:

  • You have a motor trade background
  • You have some vehicle body repair and mechanical damage experience
  • You are trained in the use of Thatcham repair times and methods
  • You're switched on with a commercial mind
  • You collaborate well with others and have strong negotiation skills
Why Co-op?

173 years ago a group of businessmen in Rochdale came up with an idea that changed the world. They believed that when people work together, they're stronger. And when you join the Co-op, you'll become part of an organisation where principles are just as important as profits. You'll also get a competitive salary, and a benefits package that includes 25 days holiday, an annual incentive scheme, discounts on all kinds of products and services, and an amazing pension. We want to change the world all over again. Join us, and help to rebuild an iconic British brand.

We're actively building diverse teams and we welcome applications from all people. But we know that simply having a diverse workforce is not enough. We want to create an inclusive environment, where everyone can contribute their best work and develop to their full potential. We celebrate our differences. And we recognise the importance of our teams reflecting the communities they serve.
