A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Systems Accountant to work in the Finance Systems & Training (FST) team of the Finance Department based at Tribune House, Clifton Moor, as part of York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The role would suit an enthusiastic individual who is willing to develop their skills within Oracle Cloud, BI Reporting, ESR, Microsoft Office and the other associated systems we use within Finance.

What do the FST team do?
• Support - We work closely to support the other Finance Teams, Payroll, and HR, to improve and develop new processes.
• Management - The management of the Trust finance and associated systems from problem solving, testing, and support.
• Development - The continued development of Oracle Cloud Financials and the ESR Payroll System.
• Projects - We are always working on new projects large and small to future proof and improve the directorate's performance.

The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills and experience of Oracle Financial systems. Knowledge of associated reporting systems such as Oracle Business intelligence would be an advantage, although training and development would be provided.

Knowledge of Finance systems and processes will be required, along with good communication skills at different levels of the organisation.

DBS Checks - All new employees starting work with us will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if it is required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary either in 1 payment or over a six month period once you start employment. The charges are currently £27.20 for a standard check and £44.20 for an enhanced check. The level of check will be determined by the post you are applying for. Please note that Volunteers and Bank only staff will not be charged.
