Job role
One of the jewels in Sheffield's industrial crown is looking for a star 1st time mover from practice to come into an exciting role would be a career defining move.

The successful candidate will be a fully-qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA) with a strong technical background. The candidate must be able to present financial information clearly, confidently and concisely, and will have an excellent eye for detail.

Good Microsoft Excel skills are a requirement for this role, as are the ability to plan and prioritise multiple tasks in order to meet challenging deadlines, and the ability to form and develop strong relationships both within the business and with external advisors.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the team with one direct report (a part-qualified accountant studying for their exams), therefore the ability to facilitate the work and development of this individual is vital to the role.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

*Control and operation of the Group consolidation package for interim and annual results
*Production of the Group bi-annual financial accounts
*Production of the Group's UK statutory accounts
*Assist in the delivery of the Group's glossy Annual Report and Accounts
*Key point of contact for the external auditors
*Keeping abreast of IFRS and UK GAAP developments
*Maintenance of accounting records
*Collation and presentation of non-financial KPI's

This important role within a vibrant team offers excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate.

An ability to work with a variety of individuals is needed as the role will liaise with internal and external auditors, senior finance members, and non finance professionals. In particular you will work with the Head of Group Finance on current technical and operational financial issues.

This is a great role for a practice trained ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant who is looking for their first move into industry - or even someone who is looking for their second move into a higher level, more progressive role in a business that looks to develop ambitious and proactive individuals. A fantastic benefits package is only bettered by the career prospects on offer and you will quickly be welcomed into a friendly and driven environment.
