This company is a family owned business that has grown quickly to £6m t/o. Operating across the North West the business supplies services to the construction sector. This new role will report to the Managing Director / family and will supervise the accounts department, you will ultimately become part of the management team and the position has the potential to develop into a Financial Controller / Company Accountant position once you have proven yourself. Duties will include managing month and year end procedures, providing information for the external accountants and completing VAT returns and bookkeeping duties. Supervising general ledger activities; posting depreciation, prepayments and accruals, managing the fixed asset register etc. You will be expected to develop monthly reports and management information and improve systems and processes where necessary. Suitable candidates must have previous experience of SAGE and will also ensure payroll is processed correctly maintaining CIS and HMRC compliance. Previous experience from a construction related sector is therefore essential.
