Finance Manager Role - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - £28,000 - £32,000 per annum - Hays Accountancy & Finance
Hays Accountancy & Finance are being retained by a growing and leading retail organisation to recruit for an dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the accounts team based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This hands-on and exciting opportunity will report directly into the Group Financial Controller and play a pivotal part in the company's finance department, while the business go through a strong period of growth.
Your key duties will involve monthly management account preparation and month-end support, posting journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. You will supervise/support the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officers in making sure all targets and processes are adhered to and resolving any complex finance queries. Along with this you will be involved in daily sales reporting, weekly trading reports, VAT returns and overseeing the weekly payment runs along with supporting the Financial Controller in ad-hoc financial projects (including system changes and process improvements).
For this hands-on and varied Finance Manager role you will must have experience within a similar position with strong communication skills and the ability to manage work-loads to time-constraint deadlines. Ideally you will be AAT Qualified and working towards your ACCA/CIMA, however candidates who are qualified by experience will still be considered. You must have strong MS Excel skills and be able to supervise/support junior members of the finance team. It would be advantageous if you have experience in NetSuite systems along with having previously worked in the retail sector.
