Purpose of the role
To assist and support the SMR Finance & Payroll Team in the provision of a high quality finance and payroll service to SMR and the wider business. Reporting directly to the SMR Management Accountant and also assisting / covering other members within the SMR Finance & Payroll Team.

Main Duties
Preparation and maintenance of the monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
Produce a monthly report of old items to the Financial Controller and Management Accountant.
Assist with the preparation of the monthly VAT calculation.
Keep abreast of developments in VAT regulations and suggest changes to ensure compliance.
Responsible for the day to day SMR arrears process, ensure all debt is actively chased and deal with queries.
Ensure SMR arrears KPIs / statistics are up-to-date.
Assist with the maintenance of the sold property register.
Assist in the maintenance of the integrity of the financial database, ensuring amendments /corrections are accurately and promptly actioned and documented.
Assist with the posting of the SMR bank account transactions, raising CHAPS, SACS payments and manual cheques.

The Company
Company is providing a comprehensive high quality support service to the Commercial Property Management Team, SMR currently employ over 1000 staff nationwide, comprising of sector specialists including Facilities & Operations, Technical Services & Procurement, Marketing, Human Resources, Health & Safety, Security, Cleaning and Maintenance staff.

The Site
The office is located in the heart of Manchester city centre.
Your role will be to provide a high level of financial support to the SMR Finance and Payroll Team and the wider Savills business. You will be part of a team, located in a busy office.

The Person
Candidates will be required to demonstrate the following:

Good standard of education including 5 GCSE grade A-C or equivalent. Desirable
Part Qualified (Accountancy) or qualified by experience.

Hours-37.5 hours per week- Monday to Friday.
We are looking at a salary package of 25k and this is not negotiable.

We are looking to commence interviewing next week (17/07/2017) and the format includes a excel test and a Q&A session.

Candidate who we offered last time had an experience of working with large to small firms. We are obviously a big firm but we have a 'can do attitude' and our team feels like you work for a smaller company due to how close we are work together so please bear that in mind when putting candidates forward.

On average this role will suit someone with 3-5 years behind them.
We are looking for candidates who have experience within debt collection, balance sheets,Excel, data manipulation.
