Role Summary

• Manage and lead a team of collaborators in accounts payable and accounts receivable /treasury
• Ensuring proper controls and governance is in place for day to day accounting carried out by the team
• Ensure the implementation and proper application of internal control procedures in accordance with Group standards
• Liaise with the auditors and the tax advisor
• Preparing monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual tax returns
• Drawing up monthly cash flow plans and comparisons/rationalisation of variances

Key Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely closure of books of accounts adhering to MAGNA and local GAAP
• Good understanding of IFRS/USGAAP
• Accurate and timely reporting of HFM
• Extensive review of all financial reporting
• Monitoring of investments and depreciation according to local and USGAAP standards
• Review and submission of Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Preparation of accounting reports (Capex,AR,AP,accruals,cash)
• Carrying out all bookkeeping work and accounting closures (balance sheet, income statement, tax returns and reporting)
• Carry out the interim closing of accounts: quarterly and annual in conjunction with the auditor and the tax advisor

Key Qualifications/Requirements

• Degree /Graduate in Accounting & Finance / Graduate in Commerce
• Certification in IFRS (preferable)
• Language Proficiency English (Verbal & Written)
• Experience working in SAGE is mandatory
• Prior experience working in HFM
• Experience in managing a team
• Experience in delivering results through others (both directly report and indirect report)
• Experience in management reporting
• Excellent communication skills
