The Role: Senior Manager, Commercial Incentive Administration

Grade (relevant for internal applicants only): 12

The Location: Charlottesville, Virginia, Colorado, New York & Toronto

The Team: You will be joining a Finance team that provides decision support and incentive services to the Commercial organization. You report to the Global Head of Commission Incentives and work with other team members in local and other geographical locations. The team is focused on the details and conveys a 'people first' approach.

The Impact:
You will engage commercial leaders and your team members to not only ensure appropriate incentives are paid timely, but also to understand concerns, assess the impact of proposed changes and/or exceptions, and collaborate through to any potential resolutions. You will often be front-facing to the business to educate, listen, and resolve.

You will be working with the team on the evolution of Xactly (our commissions software tool) to increase automation so that you can improve the speed and transparency of the commissions data in support of the approximately 900 commercial team members across the globe, many in North America.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Frequent communication with commercial team and commercial management via commission cases. Curious enough to get to a deeper understanding through the complexities.
  • Process corrections and adjustments as required.
  • Provide recommendations to sales management and the internal comp management team regarding exceptions requests and case escalations.
  • Create reports to identify and analyze outliers and figure out a systematic manner to adjust according to business rules.
  • Be a supportive lead resource for sales account executives, sales operations and sales commission team on policy and process regarding sales commissions and applying it to specific transactions. Provide reporting and analysis of complex sales transactions and orders.
  • Assist to create and drive value-add analytics on ad hoc requests from the business and key stakeholders.
  • Update policy and process changes while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Assist to develop a roadmap of improvements to Xactly that considers the efficacy of how other S&P Global Divisions leverage Xactly.
  • Assist to review and evolve, as appropriate, interface between Xactly and other internal systems, like Workday and Sales Force.
  • Assist with the development of reporting and timely delivery of required reports
  • Assist to ensure that all SOX requirements are met and that data and materials are prepared and ready for both internal and external audit.
What We're Looking For: Qualifications

• 5 years of experience working in compensation, Finance, or Sales Operations
• Experience administering Sales Incentives using Xactly
• Experience with Sales Force as it relates to data required for sales incentive
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to adapt and deliver to tight timelines
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Finance, or Accounting

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,600 to $230,200. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus/a sales commission plan.
