A dynamic and prosperous corporation based in Cheltenham is currently recruiting for an accounts assistant opportunity on permanent basis. This is full-time opportunity that has arisen in order to support the Financial Controller within a busy and hands on finance department.


Your new role
Your main duties will involve assisting the Financial Controller in order to ensure smooth operation of financial matters; including inputting matching invoice statements to purchase order invoices, inputting data with speed and accuracy, assisting with the production of financial statements and applications, preparations of financial statements, dealing with any queries and ensuring swift payment of invoices. This role will involve lots of investigate work and query resolution due to bank entries emanating from various sources so excellent attention to detail and a confident telephone manor is essential.


What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a similar accounts role, ideally within a business that has multiple entities. It is essential that the successful candidate has a pro-active nature and the ability to self-motivate and manage a busy workload. Strong communication and organisation skills are highly important along with intermediate Excel skills.
