Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a forward thinking, growing Manufacturing business based in Barnsley. They are currently seeking a determined and ambitious Assistant Accountant to work within their dynamic team.

You will be involved in the management of day to day financial transactions along with monthly reporting duties. You will be providing support to various employees in the finance department and other areas of the business.

Duties will include:

*Managing the company credit cards
*Analysis of general ledger accounts for tax purposes
*Providing cover for Payroll as necessary
*Assisting with year end audit process
*Reporting on debtors and creditors
*Post and reconcile cashbook transactions
*Management & control of fixed asset registers
*Daily reconciliation of bank transactions
*Monthly reconciliations to the General Ledger for all accounts
*Production of cash forecasting reports
*Code nominal ledger purchase and sales invoices
*Collect and collate information from invoices for reporting purposes
*Run weekly overdue reports in conjunction with finance staff
*Maintain sales and purchase ledger accounts
*Maintain weekly accounting and KPI reports

To be successful for this role you will have the following:

*MINIMUM 3 years accounting experience
*EXCELLENT Excel & IT skills (
*AAT Qualified with a desire to progress your studies further
*Experience of ERP systems
*Self motivated with ability to work under pressure
*Disciplined attitude to ensure Finance Department meet tight reporting deadlines
