Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum + company bonus + pension scheme + onsite parking

Working: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week

Location: Winnersh Triangle, Berkshire RG41 5TP

You will be working the for Advantage Smollan group to fulfil the role of Accountant.


Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of supplier accounts to statements on a monthly basis
  • Debt Collection alongside with client teams
  • Review systems and processes for both ledgers ensuring that we are minimising risk and maximising efficiencies throughout the invoice journey
  • Assist the finance team in VAT reconciliation along with the preparation of the VAT returns
  • Ensure upload of invoices are managed properly
  • Ensure sales invoices are loaded onto portals promptly and correctly
  • Manage supplier portals
  • Assist the finance Controller in the management of all bank accounts and credit cards
  • Ensure all bank payments and receipts are accurately posted and reconcile daily, the Bank reconciliation of all bank accounts
  • Updating Cash flow forecasts with regard to customer and supplier payments (forecast) along with the weekly update of actuals
  • Manage intercompany invoicing / control accounts
  • Ensure that the project accounting module in sage is reconciled with the Nominal ledger at all times exhaustive or exclusive) Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals and wages controls

    • You will have:

  • Formal Education & Certification
  • Studying towards professional Accounting qualification
  • Minimum 2 years Accounting experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint along with strong system skills preferably in Sage 200
