My client a leading specialist within the retail sector is currently recruiting for a Trainee Accounts Assistant based in Cheltenham. This is a full-time role that has development in order to support the dynamic and ambitious business in maintaining an efficient & effective finance department, in order to help achieve their growth plans and business strategy.


Your new role
You will be reporting into the Accountant in order to offer support and assistance with the accurate & timely input and maintenance of financial transactions. Your main responsibilities will include; Daily bank reconciliations, inputting purchase orders accurately and promptly, assisting with online payments, processing expenses, posting sales invoices and cash receipts, ensuring invoices are raised promptly, allocating payments on the finance system, running daily aged debtors and creditors reports and assisting with credit control procedures to ensure payments are made within the agreed time-frames.

It is essential that the successful candidate has an enthusiastic nature and is committed and dedicated to making the most of the job role and working as a team in order to achieve team targets & goals and improve processes and procedures. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and inter-personal skills along with a passion for numbers and strong attention to detail.
