Looking to grow the operations team with a passionate and proactive fund accountant who will also take on fund administration duties.

Description

What the job is about

We're a small team and everyone is quick to lend a helping hand. However your main responsibilities will be:



  • Fund Accounting

  • Accounting - Bookkeeping and maintenance of accounting records for all funds and legal entities

    Quarterly Fund Reporting - Responsible for preparing quarterly fund reporting and supplemental schedules for each fund including reviewing and collating portfolio company and fund level data and capital accounts

    Portfolio Data Collection - Collect quarterly reporting data from all portfolio companies

    Audit - Oversee annual audit liaising with auditors and providing first level review and sign off

    Fund & LP Tax Reporting - UK & Other - Manage communications with Fund LPs (and GP) with respect to UK and other tax reporting

    VAT - Manage monthly / quarterly VAT returns

    Payroll & expenses - Liaise with external payroll providers. Manage expenses for team

    Payments & Banking - Be responsible for management of bank accounts, setting up payments and forex

    Company Secretarial - Be responsible for Companies House filings

    Ad hoc reporting - Deal with ad hoc reporting queries

    Portfolio Valuation Policy - Be fully comfortable with IPEV / Other reporting guidelines


  • Fund Administration

  • LP Communications - General - Maintain database of LPs for reporting as well as drawdowns and distributions, transfers of interest, bank account details etc.

    Drawdowns and Distributions & General Queries - Calculate and manage drawdowns and distributions and first level queries from LPs


  • Legal, Compliance & Regulatory

  • FCA Reporting - Prepare CMARs and other ongoing FCA reports

    All ad hoc compliance issues - Prepare and act as first contact for all other compliance reporting (e.g. FATCA) and ad hoc FCA reporting

    Profile

    • You will enjoy working in a small team environment where everyone gets involved in multiple aspect of the business
    • You will be a part-qualified/finalist level or QBE accountant
    • Fund accounting experience. Strong technical accountancy experience will be considered (provided you are comfortable in performing the responsibilities)
    • Confident in performing the outlined duties
    • Since ad hoc reporting and analysis is often required in a changing environment we are looking for an individual who is analytical, strong with numbers and excel as well as ready to pick up and/or implement new systems
    • It also helps to be structured, proactive and able to prioritise. All in all great at getting things done!

    Job Offer

    Looking to pay between £40,000-£50,000 (depending on experience) with benefits.
