Our client, an established and successful Insurance Company who specialise in Travel Insurance, have a requirement for a Technical Underwriter to join their underwriting team.
The Role
As a Technical Underwriter you will underwrite new travel insurance schemes and renew existing schemes on behalf of the company. Whilst producing compliant and accurate policy wordings, liaising with brokers including responding to queries and providing presentations.
Duties
- Policy wording; creation, amendment and interpretation
- Broker liaison
- Creating and delivering broker presentations
- Underwriting compliance
- Internal underwriting queries
- Scheme notifications
- Scheme setup
- Checking broker slips/scheme notifications
- Preparation and distribution of endorsements
- Production of TOBA’s
- Projects
Requirements
- Educated to degree standard or relevant experience
- In depth understanding of the travel industry
- Underwriting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English essential
