Accounts/Audit Supervisor
The ideal Candidate will be ACCA or ACA qualified with post qualification experience in audit/accounts. You will ideally have experience of working in a small to medium sized firm.
You will have strong technical audit and accounting skills.
The job role will be to support the client management team and supervise the accounts/audit team.
The Candidate will be required to help train practice members, increasing their skillsets and expanding their roles accordingly.
Experience in software such as Caseware, IRIS Accountancy Suite and a range of book-keeping software is also desirable.
The Candidate will have an advantage if they are experienced or have an understanding in Corporate and Business Tax, Personal Tax, VAT and Mercia audit manuals.
Overall Purpose of Job: To supervise and review the audit and accounts production of Limited companies, large partnerships and sole traders to partner/manager meeting stage. To undertake Business Support Services and training of junior staff
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
_ To supervise audits of small to medium companies/groups and audit team in relation to this. To be responsible for audit quality and present the completed audit file to the partner
_ To review accounts preparation from client books undertaken by the accounts team and presenting to the relevant partner/manager for client meetings. To be responsible for quality of statutory accounts.
_ To undertake business support work including preparation of management accounts, Bookkeeping reviews, VAT Returns and assisting clients in any other matters.
_ Solving clients accounting problems, reconciling accounts
_ To improve internal systems and efficiencies.
_ Maintaining Client relationships
_ To identify any further client service opportunities
_ To supervise/train members of staff as required
_ Any other reasonable tasks.
