Our client is based in Hertford. They offer payroll and bookkeeping solutions to Limited companies. They are looking for a Chartered Accountant who is firstly and most importantly a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Secondly you must have a sociable personality as you will be having lots of contact daily with clients, dealing with queries and providing tax advice & planning.

This firm currently outsources the payroll function but are now looking to bring it in house and build a team around the Accountant they hire. You can really make this role your own, you must be confident in bringing ideas to the table and setting up new systems.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of Ltd companies
  • Setting up Ltd companies
  • Setting up companies for VAT
  • PAYE Payroll set-up
  • Corporation tax set-up
  • Invoicing & Bookkeeping
  • Year-end accounting
  • Personal Tax Returns
  • Corporation Tax Returns
  • Tax Advice & Planning
  • other ad-hoc duties as required
    • The perfect candidate will have worked as an Accountant for a payroll company or firm of Accountants for at least 3 years!

    Hours of work will be 9am to 5:30pm!!
