If so then we need you!As the new Group M&A Manager for Travis Perkins you will work closely with the Executive Directors and Senior Management across all Group businesses (20+). You will ensure that the Group’s acquisition strategy allows its portfolio of businesses to achieve their long-term strategic plans and / or react to market opportunities as they arise.Your negotiation skills will be vital when performing this role as you will be involved in the appraisal, negotiation and execution of M&A transactions across the Group. You will be using your experience of similar projects to guide and challenge stakeholders’ assumptions to ensure best value is being achieved from a Group perspective. You will also work closely with Senior Management on ad-hoc projects including corporate planning, competitor analysis and other strategic projects. Acquisitions:

- Working alongside the Group M&A and Corporate Planning Director on all acquisition activity across the Group
- Helping the Group and its businesses formulate its M&A strategy and approaching any suitable targets
- Writing Board Papers to be presented to the Group for the approval of acquisitions
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external firms (advisors, solicitors etc) to ensure the smooth running of transactions and other projects
- Leading on the financial due diligence of transactions
- Coordinating any post-acquisition integration activity as relevant to the acquisition
- Carrying out ad-hoc assignments and projects for the Group
- Working with the Group M&A and Corporate Planning Director on corporate and strategic planning
- Managing the Group’s analysis of competitors and their performance relative to the Group
- Undertaking analysis of the Group’s overall strategic position and supporting the development of future Group strategic initiatives
