Head of Internal Audit and Risk

in to their team on a permanent basis. Working from their UK office in Derby, with some travel nationally (on occasion). The size of the organisation provides the opportunity for all members of the team to work alongside and communicate with senior management on a day-to-day basis and this role will be responsible for building the Internal Audit function from the ground up, this is their first appointment in Internal Audit and Risk, so this candidate needs to be a self-starter and will be able to quickly identify areas of risk and implement internal controls. You will also, over time, recruit, develop and manage a small team of Internal Audit experts. What are you like? Qualified Accountant

(ACA/ACCA) ideally from a top 10 Audit firm Prior experience of working in and managing team of Internal Auditors in a PLC environment Excellent stakeholder engagement with proven experience of working with a range of stakeholders from C-suite executives to operational teams Strong verbal and numerical analytical ability Good communication skills to enable you to question, listen, interpret and explain concepts Be resilient, self-motivated and accomplished at forming relationships and influencing people at all levels in the company Knowledge of financial systems Strong Commercial acumen Package - £60,000 - £70,000
