Job role

I am working with a public sector client who are looking for a General Ledger Supervisor to manage a small section of their transactions team. Your role as General Ledger Supervisor would be to manage a team of four who are cross trained across sales and purchase ledger.

Client Details

The client is based in Cardiff and provides local services across Wales. There is a large transactions hub based in Cardiff to which you would be supervising a group of 4. This would be a good opportunity for someone who has either already managed a small team or is looking to start managing a team.


As the General Ledger Supervisor you would be expected to:

  • Manage invoices and delegate the incoming invoices
  • Reconcile Supplier Statements
  • Resolve Complex Queries
  • Payment Runs
  • Credit Control
  • Manage the aged debtors report


The ideal candidate would:

  • Have either an AAT certificate or be Degree educated
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Have Purchase Ledger and/or Sales Ledger managerial/supervisory experience
  • Be computer literate
  • have knowledge of an ERP System such as SAP or Oracle

Job Offer

The successful candidate would receive:

  • £20,000-£25,000
  • Over 25 days holidays plus Bank Holidays
  • Pension
