Accounts Senior

Our client is a specialist Accountancy Practice based in the heart of Liverpool city centre. They are looking for an Accounts Senior to join their thriving team on a permanent basis.

Our client has specified that all applicants must have previous experience within an Accountancy Practice. Candidates without Practice backgrounds will not be considered for this opportunity.

The Accounts Senior will take responsibility for:

-Statutory and Management accounts preparation for a range of clients
-Take ownership in creating and maintaining accurate, compliant and up-to-date client files for existing clients in the market sectors that you are responsible for
-Completing personal and Corporate Tax returns where appropriate
-Assisting with bookkeeping and the preparation of VAT returns
-Ensuring a smooth flow of client correspondence at all times and liaising with clients in a professional manner
-Review the work of others and report to the Client Managers across the firm

The Accounts Senior will meet the following skillset:

-Working knowledge of IRIS
-Strong Excel skills
-Previous experience of using Xero or any other online accounting systems
-AAT qualified or equivalent desirable
-Working knowledge of accounts preparation
-Understanding of tax and VAT returns
-Experience gained at a medium sized Accountancy Practice or firm of Chartered Accountants is essential
